A little goes a long way – a few small actions, consistently performed, day after day after day, bear HUGE dividends. Speak with any experienced financial planner and they’ll tell you that about saving and investing. The same holds true for our health.

Daily vigorous movement pays a massive long-term dividend.

We often think we need to give huge, intense efforts with complex workouts in order to get results. Nah, in fact, intense efforts like that usually leave us so depleted we need days to recover.

A steady, but daily effort is the better way to go.

Let’s think about our fitness in terms of a stereo volume dial. All the way to the right is a 10. When we dial it up to a 10, we blow out the speakers. When it’s on 1-2, we can barely hear it.

Let’s say for the past few months, we’ve been stuck at 2, and feeling crummy about ourselves. We’re ready to make a change. Well, we don’t need to string together a bunch of 9’s and 10’s to make progress. That can feel overwhelming and is almost always unsustainable.

But, could we turn the dial up to 3 and hold it there for 6 days a week? Yeah, most of us could manage that. How long could we hold that level of effort? A month? A year? Forever? Yeah, probably.

This is the idea behind our June 6X30 Challenge. Could we dial things up, just a notch or two, and keep the volume there through the entire month of March? I’m certain we can.

And will it pay out a huge dividend? We’re planning to use our new InBody machine to quantify that. I am certain that if we stuck with it for a month we’d see solid measurable progress, and over the course of a year we’d experience remarkable returns.
