Nutrition made simple

Nutrition made simple

There's a ton of noise in the nutrition space. Lotsa controversy and confusion.

Our goal is to make things as simple as possible. So, here are two things you should know and track.

  1. Your daily calorie target

  2. Daily protein target

There are a handful of irrefutable and indisputable facts. One is that we cannot escape the laws of thermodynamics.

The First Law of Thermodynamics states that energy can be neither created nor destroyed. It can only be transformed from one form to another.

Food is ingested energy. If we don't expend that energy, it is transformed into stored energy, much of which becomes fat.

Most people consume more energy than they need and expend less than they should. Hence the obesity epidemic.

So, this inescapable physical law of the universe is the foundation for your calorie target.

Secondly, most folks don't eat enough protein. This likely includes you.

Consuming adequate protein is the cornerstone of muscle-centric nutrition.

Because of anabolic resistance, most of us in midlife or older need to consume a bit more than we used to need.

That's the basis of the protein number.

Do you know your numbers? If not, we can help.

Simple nutrition = Sustainable nutrition

Stronger than our excuses.
