You Don't Need to Work Out This Week

You don't need to work out today. Or this week even. I mean, you're wicked busy. Christmas is less than a week away, and you've got too much to do. Work is mental with year-end stuff, and you want to take some time off next week. There's just too much on your plate, and you can't find the time. Maybe after the holidays, you know, once things settle down a bit.

Sound familiar?

Yeah, it's a busy time of year. Tis the season, right? Any one of us can come up with a long list of justifications for blowing off our workouts. Just about everyone I know is overwhelmed with busyness.

But let's remember a couple of things... our justifications are simply excuses in disguise. And busyness is our enemy.

What we do with our time is a choice. It's your workout. It's your time. It's your decision.

Will we allow busyness to get the upper hand and disrupt our plan and progress? At a time when we most need the benefits of exercise?

If you need a justification to keep it a priority, you can put the blame right back on busyness and the stress it causes. You NEED an outlet, a relief valve, to maintain some sanity through this crazy season.

Two things to remember... a little goes a long way, and something is always better than nothing. You may be unable to preserve your usual 3+ hours a week to do your full workouts. But all of us can make or find 20-30 minutes each day to do something.

It's your time. It's your choice how to spend it.

I am confident that you are stronger than your excuses.
